mechanic near DC?
« on: July 06, 2007, 08:38:32 PM »
I have tried everything I have read to get my 1979 650 started again, and I'm sick of it. Part of my problem is I don't have a lot of free time, so I've spent about six weeks putting a couple of hours of work on it. The other part is that I haven't ridden it at all during those six weeks. I'm frustrated and sick and tired of fooling with it.

So, is there anyone who you Baltimore/DC folks would recommend? Or anybody who wants to dive in? I can deal with throwing cash at it much more easily than I can deal with wearing it like an albatross. It was running recently, and I suspect that I have just screwed some little thing up while I was trying to tune it up, but I really can't stand to look at it right now. And I HATE feeling like that about it.

Myers Cycle Engineering in Kensington MD might be an option although this would be the busy season. Where are you located?
