Topic: Igniter Mounting Location On An 80' CB750K?

     Okay, here's what I've got. As the title reads, I have no idea where the 2 igniters on my 80' CB750K are supposed to be mounted.  When I got it, they were just plugged into the wiring harness and dangling behind the left sidecover. I have looked the area over, checked the manual (a Clymer's) and have not figured out where they should bolt to. Any input here, would be appreciated.

      Hey jdigga,
                   Thanks for the info and pictures. Now, I gotta go check mine out. I musta looked for the mounting place a hundred times and I knew that it should be real close because the wires aren't that long. I have no idea why it took me SOOOOOoooooo long to think about asking the question here.

      Well, mine is built basically like the one you posted, except my rear inner fender has a built-in toolbox right behind the battery carrier and the battery carrier doesn't have a mount tab right there. There is a tab not too far away from there. I'll have to do some monkeying around with them and see if I can mount them there. I sure can't have them just dangling there. If that doesn't work, I may have to fabricate something. Here's what my inner fender looks like.

Hmm, does you battery carrier look like the one in the box?  That tab sticking out on top looks promising.



I think mine is the other one.  Anyway, that tab you found nearby must be the ticket.

       Yeah, that tab might be it. I'll let you know what I come up with. I definitely gotta tie those things down, I don't like having things not properly secured, ya know? Again, I appreciate your efforts too.
