It's been posted before, but what the hell...

A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle. For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features.

However, if she is menstruating, or menopausal, she tends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and a spear lodged in his chest while he is on fire.

No further studies are expected.

Interestingly enough I watched 'Zulu' last night. Lots of spears being lodged in chests...but by angry men.

Can't vouch for the study, and not to highjack this thread, but found "Zulu" to be an excellent movie. I haven't watched it recently, but have seen it several times.

I hadn't seen it since it came out in '64 (I think). The opening sequences of the 200 'maidens' getting married to their warrior fiances was a bit risque for the time, but the battle scenes were good stuff.

my theory about the whole menstration/PMS deal is that women are just born cranky, and use 'it' as an excuse.
while younger, they get cranky (and cranky is a very mild euphemism here) and will blame it on one of three things:
1: she's getting 'it' in a few days  2: she's on 'it'  or 3: she just got over 'it' a couple days ago and still cranky

when she gets older: #1 is:  she hit menopause, so doesn't have 'it' anymore, and that makes her cranky -all- the time

Only conclusion for a sensible man to reach is that they just like to be cranky, and 'it' gives them the excuse.

before the older girls grew up and married off, we had the wife, three girls, myself and two boys in the house. the girls had 'it' all within a two week time frame.  Call us cowards if you want, but  if we saw a box of pads or tampons come into the house we planned fishing trips.

It's not cowardice. It's self preservation.
