In my other life 1961 to 82 I was a Master Butcher, Slaughter man.
Here's a pic of me with hair, black hair if you don't mind, hahaha in 1981.

So you haven't always been a racer?  ;)

Looking good! Don't mess with Sam, he knows how to use a knife!  ;D

I started in 65 on the sand Wilbur, I had a break in the 80s to concentrate on my businesses and started again in the early 90s.  I'll post a picture of one of my knives when my lad comes in a few hours, I've not got a camera of my own.

Not only Texas that has big things, hahahaha but I must say, I was traveling through there with Billy and at the side of the road were cattle in a cattle pen. It stretched as far as the eye could see and we were driving past it for what seemed like ages, wow, what a lot of meat. hahaha

Or is it fair to midland?  I've heard the phrase used in each of these ways.  If only there were an information portal we could access . . .

update: Best Answer:   Actually its "fair to midling". It means things are so-so, a little better than average. Fair is okay. Midling means in the middle when compared with other similar situations."

Spelling's off - but that makes sense.

You like the taste of head cheese mate? (not that there's anything wrong with that.............) ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Hey Bro, you just got up? haha I'm about ready to turn in, just having a short one. OR 2, haha
I'm not doing to bad but it seems to be taking forever, it's nearly 19 months since I dumped it, or should I have said, since it dumped me, hahahaha. Talking about dumping, Englands multi European Top Fuel Champion Ian King is in hospital, he broke 3 ribs today when he fell out of a tree, oh how I wish I had broken just 3 ribs, hahahaha all the body damage has healed quite quick when you consider how bad it was, even the surgeon couldn't figure how I got away with it, he said most people would have been goners with what I had and that wasn't including the brain damage. The only place I'm lacking now is my memory, it's shot to pieces but they tell me it will get better, I'm not sure when, haha
How are you doing mate, I drop in on the forum most days(when I remember) but only on the sections where I moderate and I don't see you on those particular pages, to be honest, I spend quite a bit of time on Facebook but I do flit back and forth between the two.
Happy New Year and a happy Summer mate, Its bloody wet here and next week it's down to be very cold.

Regards Sam.

G'Day Sam, good to see that you're getting better mate, I like to get across a few different forums as I've got 8 different types of bike in my garage at the moment, even though this one is still my favourite. Have a great year mate, and all the best with your continued recovery. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Different countries call cuts by different names but I've never heard of head cheese.
We have something in the UK that is made from the head meat of a pig, it's called Brawn.

There is also a dark version, very similar to black pudding:

I like black pudding too.  Yeah, head cheese is usually pig - when I was a kid our family friends "the farmers" would scoop up all the leftovers of butchered cattle as well and force-meat it into tubes.  You put enough spices in this stuff, anything's good.  Just look at Haggis or Escargot.  BTW - big fan of Haggis. It makes you strong.:) At long last the US is ending the ban - or so I hear.

Time to start a food thread . . .

It seems Terry's "head cheese" comment went way over the everyone's head.... ;D

Nah - there's a difference between what he's referring to - more in line grammatically with the British Spotted Dick  ;) - and head cheese.  But I do appreciate the Seinfeld reference 8)

Gotta say I suspected it, in my language we have same expression as:

Lady rings the neighbors door at 2AM asking would you have some bread please?

Why are you looking for bread in this hour?

Well, hubby has this hard cheese and it is impossible to eat without bread.

But I choose not to follow that path  ;D

hahahahaha, to be honest, in the picture shown, it does look like what we call Brawn. I've made every type of cooked meat which includes Brawn (head meat / cheese) ;D Sausages, Black Pudding and Haggis.
It's funny how one minute you're doing hundreds of mph on a CB750 and then you're making Head Cheese.

Well it's interesting to see how many of my SOHC4 brothers admit that they enjoy a good old mouth full of head cheese, but Cal, when I'm doing hundreds of miles per hour on my wicked CB750, it's not head cheese that I'm producing, it's more like butt gravy.......... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

So I wanted to see what Pop-A-Wheelie could so I opened her up on a back road out in the middle of no where.  Was going 120+ MPH and still pulling hard.   This bike puts a smile on my face ear to ear.
