"Goldwing" brand gasket set quality
« on: July 13, 2007, 10:10:08 AM »
Hello all.
I've got a "Gold Wing" (GWG) brand gasket set from David Silver for my CB 750 F2. They seem to be japanese, and "Non asbestos gasket material / OEM Grade Original Equipment Specifications" is written on it. Reading some posts about the difference between brands like Vesrah, Athena and others and OEM gaskets, I wonder if I should expect oil leaks with these gaskets and if I should buy OEM gaskets, at least cylinder head gasket. Anyone knows about the quality of this brand?

Never heard of the brand but Dave has too good a reputation to sell junk
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).
