Police Laser Radar Gun Jammer
« on: September 24, 2007, 11:05:36 PM »
Just for sh!te's and giggles, how about mounting one of these bad boys inconspicuously on your bike.  Maybe not the most practical addition, but I've been seeing quite a few state troopers hanging out on the side of the highway pointing their laser guns back toward oncoming traffic so personally, I find these jammers to be a comforting thought.

On sale from $399.99 to $199.99, that's quite a price drop.

Also, I had to add in the clear covering for motorcycle and car license plates that foil red light camera's.  http://www.jammersstore.com/p_photo_blocker_covers.htm

Although personally, I think I would prefer the PHOTOBLOCKER SPRAY for license plates.

The TV show "Mythbusters" recently tried these technologies and demonstrated that they don't actually work.  In fact, they found that nothing successfully avoided the radar/laser gun from getting a reading on a speeder.  They also tried to fool the license plate cameras but were again unsuccessful.

You want to fool the camerea? Put mud on your plate. If the camera cant read it, they cant do anything. As for the jammers, there are radar jammers that do work. Mythbusters did not test those if I remember. They tested the "redneck" ways of scrambling a radar signal.
As for the laser, those work BUT the laser has to pretty much hit right where the jammer is for it to do any good.
