6 volt CDI?

ill start off by telling you all that im an electrical morron....
i want to upgrade to a CDI on my 74 CL125 land speed bike.  its still a 6 volt system.  i can only find the set ups for those honda pitbikes.  also for those baja bikes they sell in pepboys.  all those are is crappy honda replicas.  but they are 12 volts.   does that matter?  or better yet anyone do a cdi on a old CL/CB/SL/XL/TL 125?

The '81-'82 CB125 had pointless ignition, and these were the same parts as the early ATC200s' used. The CB125s were still 6volt, so I would assume with pulse coil, advancer and 2ndary coils all of the same type you should be able to use those items.... I may actually have a pulse coil and 2ndary from a '84 ATC200S....  if you cant find anything locally, let me know....

is teh ATC200s a 6 volt?   so it should be and easy swap?   got any pics and sizes of the set up?

With an AC CDI the generator supplies voltage so it isn't 6 or 12 volt. You only have that for battery charging.
 You could probably fit complete generator from XL125S or any of the XR185/200's although you will need the CDI unit.
 I think I have some cam trigger units somewhere, the mechanical ATD and probably backing plate etc.
