Topic: New CB500F owner in the Detroit area!!!

Hello, I'm the new owner of a Honda. This is my first bike and I'm very excited. My background is in VW cars mainly. I've modifying watercooled VWs for many years. I'm hoping to make my 500 a reliable and fun bike. There are a few things to get fixed up and then it's no to fun stuff.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Here are some pics of the bike taken by the previous owner (he may have even posted here?). It's a '71 and it needs a little work.





The previous owner also had this awsome seat and fairing. I'm hoping to find one of my own. Any ideas?

Did you buy that 500 from a member of this forum?  That last picture looks familiar and I seem to remember the guy asking if we thought he should sell it with the fairing and solo seat or put it back to stock first.  Either way, it looks great, and so does that Corrado!
