New CB500F owner in the Detroit area!!!
« on: July 23, 2007, 12:07:03 PM »
Hello, I'm the new owner of a Honda. This is my first bike and I'm very excited. My background is in VW cars mainly. I've modifying watercooled VWs for many years. I'm hoping to make my 500 a reliable and fun bike. There are a few things to get fixed up and then it's no to fun stuff.

Welcome to the forum. Post pics of the bike when you can. It's alway interesting to hear about a members other eclectic tastes. We have a lot of VW fans here too.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Here are some pics of the bike taken by the previous owner (he may have even posted here?). It's a '71 and it needs a little work.

The previous owner also had this awsome seat and fairing. I'm hoping to find one of my own. Any ideas?

Did you buy that 500 from a member of this forum?  That last picture looks familiar and I seem to remember the guy asking if we thought he should sell it with the fairing and solo seat or put it back to stock first.  Either way, it looks great, and so does that Corrado! 8)

Thanks.

I'm not sure if the previous owner was a member here or not. I just signed up a couple days ago.

It looks familiar to me, too. I'd call that keeping it in the family. ;-)

Welcome!
