Had a really bad moment yesterday mostly after getting the news that im on modified work status for now till im completely healed up. With the city i live in that came as a crushing blow due to the simple fact that there is so much manual labour jobs here. Im the kind of person that i need to be working with my hands and not doing something like cooking...though the idea of getting on in a kitchen has been suggested by friends...right now im idly considering the idea of getting on as a cashier at a gas station or something...just spinning my wheels right now not sure what i can and cannot do without messin my back up before its healed..

One of the things helping me deal with this is when i start getting frustrated i usually go out for a ride...once i get underway on the H2 Special i will probably see it as something to releave stress...which really....would be a good thing..

I messed up my back in a chopper crash 35 years ago. I went through the physio 3 times(10 year gaps) since then. It works well and I am real good today. One thing about physio, if it is done right you will find out how tough you are inside. It is gonna hurt, if you man up and do what they tell you, you can be pain free for a long time. Heal well my brother.

glad to hear they recommended the therapy... if you don't like the doctor go to the other one.  my physical therapist uses several approaches and she has healing hands.  any good therapist should be using massage, exercise, ultrasound machine, and so many other tools that you'll find what works the best and what just doesn't help.

about the kitchen or cash register... get something where you're moving not just standing around.  that is just about as hard on your body as labor.

or get a job where you can sit your ass in the easy chair w/ a laptop... no, sorry, so far the mods here don't get paid  ;)

get well soon

Huh?  Doctors, physio...  Did somebody get hurt or something?   Having a baby?

dealing with this blibbity-blop is a PITA, isn't it.  I've been avoiding saying anything so far.  I'll just leave it at good luck and God speed.

Good on ya, Outlaw. I hope things remain on the upswing. The last time I hurt my back, I was amazed at what my physical therapist could do with pretty much the combo el Jeffey is getting. Keep reminding yourself that all you are getting now is no less than you deserve.
