Will an airbox from a '74 500 fit a '71 500?

I have a '71 500, for which I need an airbox - will one from a '74 work for me?

In the US, 1974 saw the introduction of the CB550.  73 was the last model year of the CB500.

While I actually haven't tried the swap, I believe the airbox assembly will install on the earlier bike.  Plus, you get the engine breather filter and recirculation feature, which is a nice improvement.

See page 108 and 119 of the Honda Shop Manual.
