1974 CB350F Complete Gasket Set Question
« on: July 24, 2007, 03:25:06 PM »
Hi all -
I'm new to the group and excited to be a part of this. (1977 550F, 1974 350F) I have a 1974 CB350F that I am getting ready to do a complete engine rebuild on, so I have a gasket set question before I get started. I've found a complete gasket set online ($65), but it says it is for 1972-1973 350F models . . . as far as I am aware, the 1974 is the same engine as the 72 and 73 . . . correct??? If so, should I go ahead and order the kit. Anyone have any other suggestions as to where I could pick up a complete gasket kit?
Also, the petcock is leaking when in the 'STOP' position - will a petcock rebuild kit solve this problem? Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Welcome to the club. As far as I know your bike's engine is the same as the other years. Some 350Fs came in different colors or had different lights depending on the year or country but everything is interchangeable.
The kit for your petcock may not solve your problem. Narrow it down to where it is leaking from. Sometimes its only the fiber washers that attach it to the tank or a weak wavy washer. There are many post on this subject on the board.
