Front vs. Rear Tires
« on: July 06, 2005, 03:40:42 PM »
The tires that I want aren't made in the size that I need for the rear tire. But there is a "front" tire made in that size. I know there must be a reason why there are "Front" and "Rear" tires.

Anyone know the difference, or is it safe to put a front tire on the rear?

Got an answer:

Using a front tire on the rear of a motorcycle or vice versa is not recommended. Front and rear tires have different handling needs. A front tire has a more triangulated profile for steering control, while a rear tire has a flatter profile for bike stability.

Any thoughts on this?

Front tires are belted for a stronger side wall to prevent roll.  They are not belted for torque.  You would damage a front tires belting on the rear and it would come apart sooner or later.  Rear tires are belted for both condtions.
These wonderful little birds are great flyers, delicious eating, excellent for training your hunting dog, and just fun to shoot,or stuff and keep around the house.  Bobwhites can be put with other types of Quail and have very large penis's.  Quail are very popular with the babes.
