The trailer is Galvanized, not much to do there ;D

THE WORST, most stressful afternoon EVER in my boat!!!!!!

The guy says ..yeah I used to pull skiers, parasails etc, etc.  What a crock!  Were's the choke, why is it stalling, what do you mean I should put it in neutral so I you can pull the slack rope up to jump start.. sand bar what sand bar.  UH....THE ONE I SPENT 15 mins explaining to you. %$@$%((&^%  19 inches of water and I was supposed to be having fun..........

His wife kneels on the new seat facing backwards leaning over the top of the  the seat, says hit it and the bolts come out!!!! She's all over the back of the boat sprawled every where wondering why? %^#@$& Crap...well there is more room in the boat now.

My wife dislocates her shoulder on the tube. That wasn't much fun.  I helped pop that back in and we were pretty much done.

I was so stressed that I got home and actually puked.   NICE ;D ;D

Don't ski with drunks!!!!!!!!!!!!

That sux Seaweb! It's funny, I actually used to do my best skiing after a couple of pints...not too many though but a couple to give you liquid courage so I'd try stuff and push the envelope...like jumping the wake (the whole wake not just one side). That is also exactly the reason I won't have beer before I ride...

I was thinking that the "unhappy car owner" had bad brakes, and was giving you the benefit of the doubt.

Well in my defence...I couldn't take a shot at your driving skills as I was at the cottage for the long weekend. Oh yeah I won't take a shot since I managed to break the handle of the tongue jack on our boat trailer this weekend. I cut a corner too tight and pinned it against the bumper of the van! Ofcourse it turned out ok...since it was both my dad's trailer and HIS van!!

It was good to get our boat in the water though. Lake was pretty calm so I could her trimmed really high and just barely get over 45mph.

I thought the lines of this boat deserved a post.

A buddy of mines son restored his "Dads" old boat and this was their 1st test run.  Great looking boat, but due to a long shaft engine they eventually tore out the bottom last week due to both poor glass work and helped by the banging of the hull on the water :o

Back to the drawing board.

Not trying to be shameful dragging this thread up, someone recently reminded me of it and I read it again tonight.  Quite a few guys replied they were considering their own boat resto projects.

Did anyone "git er done" ;D   Or planning on bringing a boat back from the dead?

Not back from the dead but a tale of "not selling it now". I was going to sell my 1971 16' Fibreform Tyee which I've owned for 22 years and had a good offer on the table. I figured to sell it to give me more room in the garage for my 750 obsession. I dragged it out of the garage, cleaned it, installed a new battery and thermostats, ran the kicker and generally gave it a good going over. Out to a local lake for a torture test. So, the 90 horse is WFO, just breaking 40 mph and a thought broke in "just why the f**k am I selling this" and I didn't have a good answer. So, it's back in the garage awaiting another salmon fishing season.
Couldn't do it!
Cliff.

Well, the boat isn't "dead" or anything, but I have cleared the hurdle of getting permission to bring it home.  I just have to finish a couple things that are in ahead of it on my list first.

Nope. Went for nice blast on the GoldWing last evening. You said you were bored so I asked if you had nothing to do or ride? Trying to be funny but it didn't work.  ::) No insurance since march 19'th? Good thing you didn't have a fender bender. It took a rear ender on my ST1100 in Vancouver to discover I forgot to renew my extra coverage through Coast Capital.
