« on: August 01, 2007, 02:08:23 AM »
now it wont even start up, it sounds like its not getting any gas, like i turn the choke on, and fire her up and it seems to jus not catch, and once ina great while when it does catch as soon as i let go of the throttle it jus dies. its never done this before, and yes i have the gas on, and yes it has gas in it, and no there arent any pinches in my gas lines. any ideas??

turn off your petcock and drain each float bowl separately into a measuring cup.  make sure each carb has the same amount of gas or at least within a few ccs.

Plugs fouled?  Picked up some dirt and clogged a slow jet?  Take the bowl off the petcock and see whats laying in the bottom of the bowl.

Hope this helps

Fuel quality?
When's last full tuneup?
Inline fuel filter clogged?  (If present.)

Any mods from a stock bike?

Possibly plugged up slow jets... ???

I had a similar issue last year...rust inside the tank and once I looked at the petckock, I saw that the filter on it was torn.  The bits that made it through got into my carbs and clogged the slow jets.  If you have an inline fuel filter check to see if it is clogged as well.
