Indians on NW23rd!
« on: July 30, 2007, 09:35:40 AM »
I cruised to NW 23rd last night to watch the other bikers, while I was having geloto on a trendy street corner, I heard 2 bikes in the distant comming up the road that had the sound of thunder, as they went by it felt like I could feel the vibrations in the road. They parked right out front and everyone stared, I thought they were new bikes, but after looking at the indian website, its looks like production won't start till later, they are taking 1000.00 deposits right now. The final $$ is TBA.

Looks like to same guys that resurected Chris Craft have moved onto Indian since '04, these are ausome bikes, my dad is always telling stories about his brothers 1947 Indian he bought for 50 bucks that just ran.

Yeah, you can bet that I've been keeping track of the return of the Indians (with their own motor). I know the last Chiefs had the "PowerPlus" motor but the Scout (looked like a redesigned Sportster) didn't. I wish they'd release more details on the bikes themselves. I'll not be able to buy one but, I like the idea of them coming back and being done by such a reputable company too!

I haven't hung out on NW23rd in a couple years, they still draw a good crowd during the summer.

$$$TBA...   ...   Better have $25K or more, unless they have changed thier marketing plan.

Well, a closed trailer has shown up at the neighbours a few doors down.  Says 'Indian Motorcycles' on the side.  I haven't seen nor heard a thing.  I've never even seen a bike there before.  Has me curious...I'm tempted to relive my youth and do a little recon...
