Hmm, hadn't heard of them. A Google search turned up this. How do you adjust the gap? It looks like a cage around the center electrode. ???

We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

iv used those in my snowblower, leaf vac, powerwasher, ext

they s*ck :-\  for 2stroke engines, makes them run to hot
still have one in the snowblower it's a 4stroke. it seems to lose power after awhile probably also due to over heating

id never use them in my bike!

The e3 plugs were supposed to provide a hotter, more consistent spark. Which is a help if you have flooding trouble or oil burning. But again, it all depends on your application. Bike use is probably no different than anything else. It just depends on the equipment. FOr example, I will not use D7 plugs in my bike anymore. WHy? Because with my dyna, the plug gets too hot now. D8 is the hottest I will go now. It just depends on your application.

your combustion chambers were designed to work with a single electrode plug, the gimmicky multiple electrode pluds dont help and may harm performance/tune as they'll interfere wit hthe flame travel. if you want to use something besides a stock copper plug then go to either an ngk or denso irridium plug.

To be honest, it doesn't make that much difference.  I pulled the OLD (maybe original?) NGKs out of my '78 F2 and was stunned to find that they were single electrode copper plugs, and they ran great with a perfect, even brown across them.  Most plugs these days are pregapped and not necessarily designed to be gapped by the user, although you can, and I do...at least with Bosch single electrode platinums.

Flame travel fuzzy? Yeah our engines are highly tuned for a certain type of plug. You can pretty much forget that as there really was only ONE type of plug. Bosch designed 2 and 4 electrode plugs and they obviously work and they work in older cars too. The electrodes allow the spark a wider range of where it can go to find the least resistance. I fail to see anywhere where flame travel would be effected as the a/f mix is filling the chamber. A plug that increases spark efficiency is going to burn the mix better. This is true with ANY plug. The composition of the plug and the heat range of it are going to be more important.

If I found dual electrode plugs that fit and were not super expensive, I would certainly give them a try. As it is, I have read on the proven benefits of the iridium plugs and will probably do that sometime.
