Its all good, Heffay was just doing his job, it's kind of like getting a ticket, the cop is only doing their job, its our fault we were going 20+ over the limit

 ;D
RKs

Good point and good analogy RKS and I'll follow along those lines.  My point is that we weren't exactly sure of the limit.  We all knew there was a limit (no nudity) out there, but we never saw any speed limit signs.  We are all crusing along at 70mph, but we never see a speed limit sign, so someone picks up the pace to 75.  The rest of the group thinks okay, 75 is okay and follow.  Then 80 and so on and so forth.  Deputy Heffay is sitting there in his patrol car  ;D watching it all unfold (or undress if you like).  :P  However, unlike the police officer who gives you a ticket (which in essense is slap on the wrist to keep you in line), Deputy Heffay blows up the road!   ;D

Heffay, I hope you aren't offended by this.  I'm just being my usual self and trying to make people laugh, but I'm also trying to make a point too.   ;)

i agree with xtalon,my question is,do the mods have the abiltiy/right to remove a post/thread without any input from any other mods ie,is there not a conference call so to speak on that judgement?i believe the boob thread was killed prematurely,if there wasnt, there should have been some hand slapping first.

Is that a record for a dusterdude post?  ;D ;D

Good point though, about the conference. I was wondering that a while back.

I will go you one better Andy. The Courts in NY have ruled that a Woman can remove her shirt and everything underneath it anywhere a man can. That means in the middle of Times Square at high Noon.

Does that mean that women can remove their shirts, or that men no longer can?

Everybody knew we were getting away with something, that was part of the fun.  Honestly, would you rather it was cut down by the mods and martyred, or just slowly fizzled out and went away?

Nope, it means anyone can remove their tops. Sometimes equal rights is a good thing.  ;D

as for the ticket comparison...a ticket would have been a warning..or maybe an edited post saying something to the effect of " Too hot for forum please remove" Or perhaps a combination of both. There was the idea of having a locked section away for such posts with a password that was requested from the mods to get into such a section. Now really the easiest way to avoid kids getting into there would be setting a post limit before you are allowed to request such a password...really...do you think junior is gonna sit around post whoring just to see something he can just look up on google?

Im sorry if i seem like im lashing out at the mods with this just cant ease the feeling i happened to be the one to spring the self distruct switch especially when i asked about limits before hand.

first off, there WAS hand slapping.
secondly, the pornographic argument is just semantics and you all know it so get over it.
thirdly, if nudity is not the offensive in forum rule #4 in your minds then you all should probably pull your heads out.  but, the rules will be changed to accommodate ANY misunderstandings.
lastly, this thread will now be locked and you should all rethink your actions in this thread.  simply by posting in this thread you've ignored the first forum rule otherwise, all of these issues would have shown up as a crapload of PMs in my inbox.

i think you were all just weened too early and now do nothing but whine whenever you see a tit or whenever one gets taken away.   :P

now, go play with your motorcycles.

by the way...

SOHC/4 Forums Ground Rules

The SOHC/4 Forums were set up so that owners of Honda single overhead cam four cylinder motorcycles have a place to obtain answers to technical questions and share tips, tricks and general advice.  Over the years, the forums were expanded and reformatted to reflect the usage and wishes of the members.  In order to ensure the forum remains a welcome place, we've established a few simple rules.

1) What the moderators say goes.  The moderators of this forum were selected because they are level-headed individuals.  We reserve the right to apply these rules as we see fit.  Whilst we are open to discussion, please use Private Messaging (PM) for this. The actions of the moderators are final.

2) Post in the appropriate forum.  The tech forum is for technical topics.  The classifieds are for for-sale and wanted ads.  The feedback forum is where you can tell us what you like and what you don't like about the forums or the website.  The open forum is where you go to talk about anything else.  Taking the time to post in the right place saves us the time of moving your posts to the correct forum.

3) Please do not use offensive Avatars, if we deem them so, you will be asked to change them. If not changed appropriately, they will be deleted.

4) Overly Offensive posts will be deleted.  This means use of profanity, posting offensive images, or generally offensive content.

5) Posts that are inflammatory in nature will be deleted.  If you have a problem with the forums, contact the moderators; if you have a problem with a member, send them a PM.  If your reason for coming here is to provoke argument, you will be asked to leave.

6) If you post spam, you will be banned from the site.

7) If you are coming here to advertise your wares, do it in the classifieds only.  If you are a commercial concern and your advertising gets excessive, contact us about buying advertising space or expect that your ads will be removed and you will be asked to cease these activities.

8. Private Messages (PMs) are private between the two parties. If you paste one into a post it will be deleted and you will receive a warning.

It is our goal to make the Forums appealing to the broadest base of SOHC4 members.
