Did you know that sometime in the early 1970's, a CB500 was used as a prop in a spread titled, Burn Off, published in Fiesta - a British soft-core porn magazine? I happened to have a copy and scanned the photo spread the other day and added it to the SOHC/4 site. All very tame by today's standards.

Excellent Glenn! Thanks for that. As an ex-Fiesta reader (as a teenager in the UK) it brings back memories :-)

I think the combination of naked/scantily clad women and motorcycles (and esp SOHC bikes) is a good one and should be encouraged

I feel offended by these pictures of a women flaunting her ample BARE breasts and perfectly formed nipples with no apparent shame. OMG is that foliage down yonder I see!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel that the Cheif of the Thought Police AKA Heffay should lock and delete this thread immediatley to protect others from this ghastly sight. I may need days to recover from this visual assault. I agree, but don't lock it for the boobage. Lock it for the open, honest and may I add extremely civil discussion. That seems to be a reason for locking too.

Heffay really took that personally then locked down the "boob deletion complaint thread" and said it was a violation of rule 1?

We never dissented or started posting more boobs, so I dont know why he's so mad.... other than the ones giving him a really hard time

The moderators may not always make popular decisions about things, but every one one of them is doing his best to be as unobtrusive as possible while maintaining a certain decorum here. It really is not an easy job, but the best interests of this group as a whole are at heart.

However I perused the boob locking protest thread......

Seems to me that some folks knew they had crossed the line.

Then they wanna complain when the admin's do thier job.

You folks need to ease up on heffey. He does a fine job and shouldn't have to clean up after people.

Lets remember that there are ladies present. (turtle, moto-buinny, serenity to name a few)

Damn if it doesn't make us look like a bunch of slathering cretins.

With all due respect, since you did not see the thread you have no idea what was in it. How can you comment on the content? You also have no idea how it was handled by the Mod, and that a discussion of it was locked because the Mod did not like the posts. Where I come from you use a heavy hand, you will get one back. You man up and take it.

People were having fun, it was clearly marked Boob, so no one could doubt what was in there. There is more boobage not to mention lippage in Glenn's post than in the thread in question.

You are a level headed guy in here and you just came in at the end of the movie.

I ALSO DON'T DELETE THREADS BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE THEM. i deleted it because i felt it was continually breaking the rules and promoting people to do that.
i am also not angry about this at all. i am doing my job the best i can w/ the entire forum in mind not just the voyeurs.
lastly, i locked the protest thread because it was also breaking a forum rule. if you like, we can give everyone who posted in that thread a warning... in my opinion, that is not beyond appropriate. unnecessary? yes, i think so.

but, seeing that you are basically God here... i'll assume that those are your old family photos of Eve and there is a strong moral lesson to follow...

I updated the link so it isn't direct. Well, I am certainly not God since the site wouldn't really be all that interesting if I acted like I was, but that is such a unique piece of history, I felt compelled to scan it and put it online. If I get enough similar content, I'll start another domain for a new SOHC/4 Adult site - want to moderate the personals forum on the new site?

Actually I am kidding about doing an adult site - there's money there, but then again, there's money a lot of places I am not interested in visiting.

For the sake of history, if I do find more pictures featuring the SOHC/4 bikes posed with nude models, I will add a separate section of the website. I just think it is very interesting that a photo spread appeared with a CB500/4 as the primary prop - I wish I could find out more about the spread and how the photographer came to use a CB500/4.

I agree with Bob, I don't think any of us are here for the 'boob thread', so no point going to extra effort to allow it - adult certification, passwords, etc. We were merely having fun and it seemed others were enjoying it as well. I admit the line was crossed at the end and maybe even before that and deleted prior to my viewing. I just wish you could have posted a message warning us to clean it up first before deleting. You say 'hands were slapped'. Was this done to an individual in a PM? I never saw anything in the actual thread for ALL to see.

With regards to discussing this matter in the open rather than through PM's, this wasn't really an individual's thread, but rather a community thread with lots of members participating and deserved to be discussed in the open (in my opinion); however, I fully understand you are probably tired of discussing it as well.

So... one question to all mods and I'll shut up, if we were to start a similar thread, for example 'Sexy Women' or 'Umbrella Girls' or even 'Hairy dudes' (for the ladies)

and put 'ABSOLUTELY NO NUDITY ALLOWED' in the subject title, would this be allowed?

If it would be allowed, I think the mods should define nudity. I know that sounds stupid, but please hear me out. Would the mods define a thong as nudity? Is a woman holding her hands over her bare breasts nudity? I think that is where the 'boob thread' went wrong. No one really knew the limits. Obviously bare breasts at the end was the limit, but before that I think people were continually pushing the envelope looking for the limit.

Well, I really don't think it is worth the trouble of setting up yet another "adult site" or even an "adult forum" on the Internet, unless you are looking for a revenue stream to fund oil tests and carb jetting research!

While I was mildly irritated by the deletion of the boob thread, it really isn't a big deal to me. I understand that mods shouldn't spend all day monitoring threads that are 'out of control', but I honestly didn't notice any warnings. Perhaps they were not posted prominently, or were deleted after a time, in order to "protect the guilty"? The more I think about that, the better I think Heffay handled it.

I liked BobbyR's shots, but pretty much everything else was coming from the Internet anyway. Oh, with the notable exception of MikeDialect's most excellent tattooed fiance. I hope I haven't inadvertently offended anyone who posted pictures of their ex-wives in that thread!

We've all learned of the WickedWeasel website, so we know where to go to see most of those impressive hotties! I wonder if I order a thong from them, will they send me print catalogues?
