Ya gotta love those sweet Fournales shocks! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

If it's show and tell time here's mine after one of my winter rides. Not a great pic but you get the idea. I just picked up a NIB Kerker muffler for it now I'm looking for a header. I haven't touched the engine but just about everything else has been rebuilt or upgraded.

Mike
Looks good Mike....as do the others. You can get to the engine later..... ;) ;)

Thanks Mike! At some point I'd like to pick up a K7/8 top end and have a certain someone here on the list who enjoys Belgian ales work some magic on it. ;)

When do we get to see a nice shot of the "Million Dollar CB"?

Actually, Terry, so that you're not labouring under a misconception,  ;D they are Kayaba shocks, and have Suzuki inscribed on them... no idea which Suzuki they could be off as they were on the bike when I got it.

Ditto! And you'll be doing well to keep that stock muffler... mine is on it's way out...

G'Day Phil, thanks for that mate, I've been hunting a pair of Fornales for awhile now, I might have to start typing "Suzuki" into the EBay search engine, ha ha! Do they work well? Cheers, Terry. :D

Yes, I would have to say they do. At least for my 70 odd kilos they seem to!  ;) I've experimented with various air pressures and finally settled on a value that I like. (I forget what that is now!) Also, as I'm  vertically challenged, I find their shorter height a mixed bag... I am able to balance the bike whilst stopped fairly easily, but find it a real weight lifting exercise to get the beast up onto the centrestand - a chore left to the garage and the faithful 6x1 plank...  ;D

OK.  Here's one of mine the day I brought it home.  What do you think? A little polish on the gas tank?

Yes, actually, brand new in the box OEM from Honda.  For some reason, I balked at buying a new petcock to go along with it when I bought it years ago (2000).  (Smacks forehead) I regret that now.  Can't find one that fits.  Very odd size tank bung.
I also have a new seat/cowl assembly, side covers, exhaust system and tach, all OEM.  It needs a helicoil in #4 spark plug hole.  Then, of course, all fluids, brakes, and a carb rebuild.  I haven't checked the valve guides yet.  The stories from this forum give me the willies. ;D

Now my 77 750F tank, while good inside and undented, needs a new paint job.  The California sun was not kind to it.

Why do you ask? Do you have a tank that needs a good home, Paul?

Don't waste your money mate, it looks "ordinary" and promotes rust by trapping water in places where water shouldn't be.

Just my opinion of course, but ceramic coating looks much better, and won't ruin your pipes, while providing much better thermal efficiency.Cheers, Terry. :D

Since this is starting to become show and tell for F owners, here's mine:

In response to the original question on this thread, this is what I got myself into.  Quite happy and never looking back.  K models are perfectly fine in their own right but I love the F!

What light did you use on that rear? Also, did you just fab a piece of plastic where it's screwed in and then screw in the plate?
