Last night in 90F heat inside my garage I finally installed my new set of HM300 pipes that forum member Kevin (stockertorocker) had sold me. By the end of the installation I looked like an Indian coal miner

. I got the HM300 pipes to replace the brand new Mac 4-2 pipes Id just bought - why? For me the Mac pipes were too loud, especially with my newly rebuilt engine with higher compression. I could use them but was never really comfortable riding around at night with loud pipes. Anyway this morning was my first test ride...fired the bike up and whooosh, those pipes are smooth!! Its a very quiet but distinctive sound very different from my HM341s. Riding to work put a smile on my face all the way....smooth acceleration, nice low quiet sound, and I can actually hear the engine now (camchain needs adjusting :-)). Im feeling very lucky. A set of HM300s on the K4 and HM341s on the K2.
Macs will be on their way to PA to a forum member this Saturday as long as USPS accept them.
Ill post some photos over the weekend after my weekend ride.
cheers
Andy
