I've been inspired by ProTeal's cb450 and would like to do a cafe/street rod(ish)/supermoto take on a late model Honda Nighthawk 250 or a late '80's Nighthawk 450. I'm not looking for rocket-type horsepower, but something small and customized. With that said, I'd really like to do a Nighthawk 250, as they are plentiful and cheap, and are an open palatte in which to do some customizing. By customizing, I mean these type of ideas:
1. single or dual disc front brakes
2. upside down/inverted front fork with adjustable suspension (which would necessitate cutting and welding new upper and lower triple clamps-not a big deal)
3. engine modifications of some sort (cam/pistons, heads, carbs, scrambler type exhaust)-but not necessarily mandatory
4. rear disc brake
5. spoked rims front and rear
6. Anything else other people might have in mind...
My inspiration is a cross between the Honda SOHC and cafe racers with a little Supermoto thrown in for good measure (think KTM or Suzuki based supermoto racers).
Money isn't really an issue at this point, so any ideas, thoughts, suggestions would be great.
