100 link 530 DID on a 750F?

Will this fit? I know it'll be small, and I'll probably have to adjust the wheel ALL the way up if it fits at all. I'm waiting on a riveting tool to come in, so I'd like to know before it comes in so I can go get a new chain if it doesn't. Anyone tried it though?

...I want to say thats gonna be to short...100 link will work on the 550, but pretty sure you need 110 for the 750...

What size sprockets are you using?  I end up with about 106 links using 17/48. I generally buy the 110 link chain and cut what I don't need so not sure on exact link count.

...she WAS my bike.  Resides in Memphis, TN now.  I called it the poor mans "Ole Blue" (70's ducati superbike).  I have to say I was glad to see it go...desperatly need the space, plus it was one of thos projects that dragged on, and on....and on.....

The rear sprocket is smaller at 39, and the front is a stock 14, although in 530 trim, obviously.

well, if each sprocket tooth equates to 1/2 chain link and you have 12 fewer teeth than I do, then the 100 link chain might just work. Don't know if my "1tooth= 1/2link" is accurate though, but I'd give it a shot if you have the chain already.

Sounds like my last girlfriend, Lumbee. Took a fantastic picture, but in the end was just too much work for the trouble ;)   Still, a fantastic looking machine that oozes '70s superbike appeal :)

just curious, why such a small rear sprocket? killer top end but getting it going from a dead stop probably isnt going to be fun.

   14T/39T= 2.78 final drive ratio(down from the stock 3.04)

   The '78 K model has the identical transmission as the '78 F but used  15T/41T= 2.733 final drive ratio. Not much trouble getting those K bikes moving from a stop ;)

Oh, I'm not worried about getting it going.  That F motor has a lot of bottom end.  I take it on a lot of long trips, and a fair bit of high speed riding (read:interstate) and I wanted to get rid of the buzziness that it gets right in the 5000rpm range.
