Front only?  Or both front and rear?  The stock T/Ss won't flash if both are hooked up.  And if the front ones have running lights, they go out when the T/S is on.

Mine wouldn't blink worth a darn unless the engine was running and the alternator charging - kind of iffy then.
Replaced the ancient blinker with one of those electronic relay types - nice and steady all the time.
Just one catch - it will still flash if a bulb goes bad.

Happy trails.

I just replaced the turn signals on my CB650 and when I hooked the wires up wrong they wouldn't blink either. The front turn signals should have three wires, and the rear two wires. The rear are easy to hook up the front are tough taking the factory turn signals off and putting after market ones on.

I would say read the post with the turn signal wiring diagram under the tech section and swap wires.  I tried to find the post but it has been a long day and could not find it but it helped me tons.

My rear signals only had two wires, but the front ones had three for the running lights. I tried to put some small after market sport bike signals on it while waiting for my replacements to get here. They were giving me the same issue you are having except it was only the left one that wouldn't blink the right was fine.  Just waited for the replacements and they worked great with a little trimming to get them on the bike.

In your headlight bucket, the stock reflectors (which is where I assume you have now mounted your turn signals) were each held in place by a bolt with a green wire attached to it.  If you still have those in place, find where the green wire plugs into, unplug it (if you haven't already) and try plugging either the red or black in there (I can't remember which at the moment).  You won't have running lights but they'll blink.

Sounds like a grounding problem. If you have 2 wires going to your front running light/directionals then they are grounded through their mounting. Check to see that you have good metal to metal contact all the way to the frame.

Are you sure that they are dual filament turn signals?  LP Aftermarket dual filament turn signals on my bike came with three wires.

This maybe or may not be of help, but I had the same problem on my RG500.  Indicators wouldn't flash, so after replacing the flasher relay, I still had the same problem.
It turned out to be the wrong wattage bulbs fitted by the previous owner.

So what are the things on the side of the headlight in this picture of your bike that you posted in your thread about dropping the front fork?

And when edbikerii asked you if you had dual filament signals with three wires, you said yes and reposted the picture of them, in which they clearly have 2 wires.

We can't help you fix your problem if you don't help us first by thoroughly explaining the problem and what steps you have taken to try to correct it.

Find the wiring diagram for your bike here: http://oldmanhonda.com/MC/WiringDiagrams/MCwiring.php#class and see if it matches up with what you have.

I think I'm not being clear on the differences between single and dual filament bulbs.  Also, the stock wiring differs from the aftermarket wiring slightly.

I stumbled upon my old stock front turn signals, and sure enough there are only two wires, even though the bulb has two filaments.  The ground was accomplished through the metal housing of the turn signal onto the fork ears.

My aftermarket FRONT turn signals, which have dual filaments inside the bulb (one for running light, one for turn signal), have a distinct third wire for the ground, however.

My aftermarket REAR turn signals, which have only one filament inside the bulb (one for turn signal only), have only two wires.

I hope this helps.

that isnt a picture of my bike..it is a similar one with the same turn signals....they are both two wire turn signals. the oem ones i took off and the aftermarket ones I am trying to put on...tried hooking both wires up different ways the wires i am hooking to are light blue and orange,,,,,one of each solid orange and one is white and orange....the other is blue and striped blue and white.....both aftermarket signals have a red and black wire. like I said they both light up and when i hit the switch no matter how i hook it up one goes out and the other one stays on but no  blinking either way....I tried to different bulbs already to.

Reggie, are you sure the ones you'd like to use on the front are "dual filament"?  Do you clearly understand what I'm trying to ask?  If not, I'll gladly try to explain better.

Look into the socket where the bulb goes. If there are two contact points then it's for a dual filament bulb. If there's one contact point then it's for a single filament bulb. Do your new signals have metal to metal contact when they are mounted on the bike? You need metal to metal contact for them to be grounded. If they aren't grounded then they won't work properly.

Did you try what I suggested earlier?  In the headlight bucket look for a green wire with a double end.  Since you said you don't have reflectors, there should be one free.  Plug one wire from your turn signal into the solid light blue & orange leads and the other wire of each into that double green lead.  This way you are ensured to be plugged into a ground.  Leave the blue/white stripe and orange/white stripe ones empty.

I ran into the same issue you are having when I installed my aftermarket signals except my y signals have a black wire and a black/white stripe wire.  I'd say try the red wire to the blue and orange leads first, but it might be the opposite.

Yeah i tried the green wire thing once and it didnt work I will have to check in the morning if they are dual filament and maybe try the green wire suggestion agian.....my back signals arent working right either might that mean something or is that just because the front and back work together.

How and where are the new lights mounted on the bike? On your new lights is that some sort of rubber grommet that might be preventing them from being grounded? Did you have stock lights on the bike and did   they work? If so then the new lights most likely are not grounded. Man, I feel like I'm smacking my head against a wall...sorry, I'm a bit cranky right now. Do you understand that anything electrical has to be grounded in order for the circuit to be complete?

yeah I understand it has to be grounded. There is a a rubber grommet but there is a washer behind it....I am mounting it in the head light bucket so it is boltand a washer agianst the headlight housing then there is a rubber grommet and then the light.....the rubber is the black in the picture.

Let me guess.  The rear lights are hooked up to green(ground) and orange or blue(left or right respectivly).  You need to wire the front as follows:  Black wire from T/S to green wire on the harness.  Red wire from T/S to orange or blue(left or right respectivly).

You've got some wires mis-matched. Look on the internet and find a color diagram. The good news is that just about all the 1968-1978 Hondas use the same colors (I believe) and once you memorize them, the next job is easy.

Changing the bulbs won't work without changing the sockets.  Try wiring them as I posted in my last post.  This should make them blink.  They won't be running lights, but they will blink.

Reggie,

It is not just the bulb you've got to worry about.  The socket has to have the right contacts, and you've got to have three wires, too.  Check with your supplier whether they have the same turn signals in "dual filament" or with "running and turn signal" configuration, then exchange one pair of single filaments for the duals.

I would like to thank 333 edbikerii jdigga mike750f and sandcast for all there help here. I was never a fan of wiring in cars and this is my first cycle....I am at work now but when I get home I am going to take another shot at it....I am taking it that on the single contact bulb if i hook the black wire to the green and the red to the solid color it might work and I am going to try everything else to.....I am keeping my fingers crossed.
