105 Heat Index today (and the next few days) here in Chicagoland..
It is so hot the thought of me sitting on a air cooled bike in traffic just makes me sick..
But on the flip side it is nice to go downtown and see how little clothes the busty women of the city can get away with wearing...

So - How's the weather in your neck of the woods ?

Here in Ann Arbor, MI it's 84F and almost 80% humidity. I guess we are a bit better off. Just came in from changing fork oil and I'm sweating like the proverbial pig. $:-\$

Except pigs don't sweat, Bob!!

It is typically-summer-hot hereabouts (30c+) but we have the advantage that it is also quite dry, so you don't end up feeling like a wet dishrag after a few minutes outside.

Oh, I forgot to mention that their is a 75% chance of rain for the rest of the week as well.

Straight 97 degrees here. Humidity is actually low for us, so only feels like 99. Of course no rain probably has that effect. Haven't mowed in 3 weeks and my grass looks exactly the same... except browner. $:-\$

Was the same this past weekend and I was in full leather. Can you say 'balmy'?

Temp is 99.9 with an index of 107. Been doing yardwork and moving my 94' Grand Voyager into place so I can get it picked up to do a trans rebuild. Got about 186,751 miles on the minivan. Now, I'm not working constantly out there, work for a bit and then come in to cool down, dry out and get a breath. Then, it's outside all over again.

Pretty much the same here. 99 with a heat index of 106. If we hit 100 today, we'll break a record set in 1930.

This is one of the few times I'm glad I work in an air conditioned office.

We had about an inch of rain Saturday, but it had no effect on my yard. Friday will be 3 weeks since I cut mine and you can't tell. Even the weeds are starting to wilt.

I live in chicago and was sweating bullets last night in the garage at 9:30PM. Very sucky.

I love Chicago in the summertime. The women can't wait for the snow to melt so they can break out the short skirts.

After all the floods in July you wouldn't beleive that we have not had any rain for 6 days OH OH its just started again, should have kept my mouth shut.

Anyway, wev'e got the bloody foot and mouth problem to worry about again

Yeah, we had a bit of rain real regularly nearly every day for a good part of July with the Arkansas River above flood stage for about a week or so. Now, the heat has set in here also.

I heard about the problem with foot and mouth again Sam. You, and anyone else over there, be very careful in that respect. $:-\$

It's been 61 years since I could get my foot up to my mouth

takes a super human effort these days just to wrap myself around a race bike....don't know how I am going to go on when the RS175 is finished

the riding position will have to be drastically modified.

it'll be lower than a snakes belly

elizabeth and i were headed off for a camping trip this weekend... the bags were on the bikes and we were about 5 minutes from leaving when the little plastic adjuster from my tank bag fell down under the carbs into unreachable territory w/out dissassembling the zx7r.

we fiddled for about 2 minutes, got frustrated cuz it was so damn hot and came back in to the air conditioning.

camping postponed due to heat!

actually, i don't mind the rain but, the cold... yes, i agree.

but, i'm one of those that wears gear when i ride and 90+ degrees w/ gear on is just not as fun as waiting another week or two. ya know?
