Tank Modification
« on: August 10, 2007, 08:27:57 AM »
Hey fella's!  I'm back!  One word as to why I haven't been posting for such a long time (not that you really care)-------Divorce!

Wow, I just diddn't know how bad it was until I got out of the situation.  Anyway, my purpose for posting is to let you guys know that I am in a position to do a bit more work towards establishing my "Custom Cafe" bike shop.  Within a few months my house will sale and I will get an actual store of some sort to do buisness out of and I will be working part time at Grainger and the rest of my spare time will go towards making "The Custom Cafe" a successfull online parts store and customization shop.  Soooo....  The first steps are baby steps.  I have purchased 4 tanks that will be staggered on ebay throughout the upcoming weeks as customized cafe tanks.

I also would like to generate some buisness of a one-on-one basis for any who may be interrested, such as- you send my your tank and the color code of what you want, I send it back finished.  You guys have seen what I can do and if you don't remember- I have attached some threads to remind you.

So, prices.  If you send me your good, useable tank, for $300 I will strip it down to metal, do all necessary body work, add indentions, primer, and send it back ready for paint.

If you want it painted also, a standard one color base coat-clear coat will be an extra $150.  Any exotic paints or designs will be extra.  For example, the maroon bike would have a $450 gas tank, plus $50 for pinstriping.  The white, red, and black bike would be closer to $1,000 for the gas tank.

If you are interrested in any way, call me @ 229-291-1435.

Sounds like a good plan JP. Stock some old Ducati parts too!
70's Ducatis that is. The Ducati parts monopoly in the States is run by an arsehole.
