Hey guys,I know this has been thrashed around a bunch, but I have to know if I did this right. My 350f runs and idles good but it seemed to struggle to get to 50-55 mph.I knew it has to be a timing issue because the carbs and everything else check out. This is what i did-I first set the points to .012,then when i was satisified that the points were right,I hooked up a timing light to #1 wire.I then set the base plate so the f1-4 mark was at the pointer in the window, next I rechecked my points,1-4 were still good,2-3 were not so I reset the the 2-3 points back to .012.I then hooked timing light up to #2 wire and set the 2-3 points plate to the F2-3 mark in the window and locked everything down snuggly.I shut it off and rechecked points again, they were fine, cranked it up with light hooked up to #1,the f1-4 mark was lined up,moved light to #2 and the f2-3 mark lined up,ran rpms up to about 2500 and the advance is working,Took the bike out for a test drive and it will get right up there to 60-70 mph with no problem now.So all I need now is for one of the pros to tell me I did this correctly,I dont need any holes in the pistons,Thanks guys Terry
