« on: February 25, 2012, 09:14:24 PM »
Last year i bought out a buddy's shop he a lot of N.O.S stuff,{his health was failing}well he passed away in Jan.well i decide to start selling some the parts off & i know there was a couple set of clean carbs-any way i open the bags & there is 2 brand new never run round top carb racks in there,i was wondering if i sold em what should i ask for them? [in the real world]
the only marks on them are me opening them up to check the jet sizes..

"Round top carb racks"?? Can you explain what exactly you have and/or post some pictures.

damagedduck,
If you have a CB750...why not run them on your bike ?
75' CB400F/'bunch o' parts' & 81' CB125S modded to a 'CB200S'
I love the small ones too !
Do your BEST...nobody can take that away from you.

What are the numbers on the carbs?  07A, 657A/B, 086A?  This will help determine the year and application.
That will affect final value, earlier presumably being better.
By rack do you mean the new carbs are attached to brand-new stay plates?

As far as price, well ebay is probably the first/easiest indicator.
Just off the top of my head I'd say $300+ just based on what I see there.
Find a concourse-restorer looking for the perfect part and you get more, who knows.
Certainly someone here would be interested.

Nice.  The 07A's are ~71-72 and the 657A's are ~73-74.  (roughly)
Although I think someone said the 07A's were also used in the early 750F's.
The only difference between those carbs is jetting afaik.

Just pulled out one of my Honda parts catalogues for the 75 & 76 F dated 1993. Both these models used 064A carbs. I do know the needles and needle jets have a different part number than the other bikes with 40 slows and 105 mains.

Brass floats! Early carbs. When did they quit using the brass?
