Topic: Need some advice

My 76' CB550F is leaking oil real bad from around the jug area, and I plan to pull the head and jugs off at the end of the riding season. The bike has 46K miles on it, is there anything else I should do while I have it apart? I did not do a compression test yet, but I plan to shortly. I would like a little more power from the bike, while keeping it reliable. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Replace the piston rings, hone the cyls, and replace the cam chain.  Maybe look into some cyl head porting and a performance camshaft.

Thanks. I may look into some of that, If needed I may have it bored over and new pistons.
