Roll out, nearly in business

For the first time in a year and a half I could wheel out the bike from the garage, and the weather has been playing ball, nice and sunny, I'm sure it made me work faster !

Should have a battery on Monday, the mirrors and muffler (BSM from DSS) should be here by the end of the week and then I can attempt to fire her up. The seat was going on but the hinge and catch plate were rusty so they are being dealt with today.
The tank and seat were bought in about 1986 from an up and coming businessman called David Silver (an ad in MCN), the tank has lasted well and has not been repainted. The original red tank and seat are in the loft, the tank had a slight weep, may be tempted to bring them down and check them out. I also have the original muffler and a Dunstall decibel but both sound like would pepper the area behind them with shrapnel if I used them. May also try them and see how they go.

Looks great! I'm an F guy. I saved up and bought one new in 76. I was a big deal in a little town in central PA.

Hi Sam,
          The very ones, new chrome rims and stainless spokes, really nice, hated putting those dirty old (new) tyres on them. He did a really nice job on them and it only took 2 weeks.

The wheels were rebuilt locally in the UK, chrome rims (British Chrome is the brand name I think)  stainless spokes, both wheels £250.
The LH side cover is a pattern from LPM Plastics (eBay) the right is the original, but I wouldn't look too closely at that one !
