Does any one here like online games?
« on: August 12, 2007, 11:37:09 PM »
I joined this site called Mobster Boss. It is free to join and you get a number of turns and a load of money. use the turns wisely and you can build a great empire. It is actually a lot of fun. I started today and spent over three hours building what I have so far. You can buy and hire all kinds of people and equipment, join or start a family, and attack rival mafiosi. Bonus turns are given every 10 minutes, but if you can't wait, you can buy extra turns at a small fee. When you buy in, you become qualified to win cash prizes. Last I checked, the pot is at a little over $1500.

I've been playing for free and it is a lot of fun!!

Give it a shot! There is no obligation whatsoever, so just have a great time wasting some time.

Have fun,

Jeff

I used to play PC games a lot, but now I mostly play Battlefield 2 online. I love the stats tracking. My friends and I also play Far Cry and Medal of Honor sometimes. We're too poor to afford newer games.  ;)

I used to play a game called Planetside online.  Got to where I was spending (counts on fingers... carry the one...) 20 hours a week during the work week and at least 10 hours on the weekends.

It was the greatest game ever in the history of all gamedom.  One day I got drunk; un-installed the game, broke all the cd's, canceled the account, and listed the computer for sale in the want ads.

I still love that game, but we can never be together again (sniffle).

I had a mad addiction to Day of Defeat (WWII shooter on the Half-life platform)for a long time. So much so that I would sleep and dream the f'ing game. Finally my video card melted because I decided to overclock it and not introduce additional heat sinks or fans. That was the end... I'll never go back. I played that game every waking minute...

The original Everquest tried to kill me while I was in college. I think I lost 20 pounds sitting through whole days without eating or drinking and many many sleepless nights. My roommate (a good friend) cancelled my account and threw away my CD with the CD key on it... After a mega violent tantrum and some withdrawl, I was ok and vowed never to play online games again... until Day of Defeat that is...  :)

Hi.  My name is james and I a recovering EverCrackaholic.  Over the course of 3 years I had spent well over 80days playing time.  I finally broke the spell (pardon the double entendre) a few months after I starting working on the chopper.  Noticed how little time I was spending online compared to the past and how much happier I was.  Sold the discs, gave the kid the password to my account (after wiping my personal info) and walked away.  Great move!

I love UT! That whole series is my favorite of all time! I haven't played online in a long time though. I guess I didn't realize people were still playing it. Are you playing the original or UT2004 or...?

I play UT 2K4 now.  I was playing 2K3 for a while, fragging mostly on LGBR (Low Gravity Bombing Run)  2K4 killed LGBR and the community eventually died out.  When I play now I hang on Insta sniping servers, Onslaught, and good old Rankin death match.

For you GOHF's yes I'm a geek, and I have gray hair :P

BF2 is a cool game. Played it since it was released. I just wish Forgotten Hope will eventually release their mod for it. Been waiting for 2 years.

I've just recently started playing mods for it. Desert Conflict, Mercenaries, and Point of Existence 2. They seem pretty cool, but unstable on my system. They usually crash to Windows after every round. Gets a little frustrating. Forgotten Hope is ranked as the #2 mod http://www.doomlab.com/bf2topmods/ but it's not released yet.  ??? :-\ How does that work?
