September SOHC4 of the month voting poll
« on: August 16, 2007, 08:57:25 AM »
Here they are... all two of them.  the other members did not accept.

will it be 736's candy gold 750 or fourwheeldrift's cafe/custom 500?

here are pics of the fourwheel's build because the pic i have is only a front shot.

I can't believe we are running out of bikes to be nominated for this prestigious award.... Maybe it's because the season is coming to a rapid end.

I didn't really document the resto, although its progress was posted here during Jan/Feb/Mar of this year. It was a total frame-off down to every single nut-and-bolt (I love completely undressing these things just for fun) but there wasn't anything repainted or plated, just a super-sano detail (everything carefully cleaned and wiped-down w/ penetrol) and selected parts upgrade using correct orig non-repop pieces only (ie: double-cut front fender, short chainguard, rolled rear rim, ducktail seat, matching 8 piece orig paint bodywork, unstamped exhaust, early switches, 2-hole rear fender and tl, plain tank trim (hard to source), smooth oil filter housing, acorn patent mirrors, etc). Luckily it had all the early-type large #8 bolts, nice gauges, a cool left-side horn, an early alternator cover, non-crimped oil lines, original "plug" key and switch, and, one of my favorites, the original and super-rare FAT exhaust clamps, only found on the first 2000 sandcasts.

Okay, didn't someone tell me last month that the votes don't show in BOTM after voting... But today they are showing.  Am I losing my mind?   :o ??? ::)

Don't answer.  ;D

it is because i am no longer a mod for the forum... i think "he" may grant me some permissions for this forum as well as the merchandise forum to remedy the situation.

elizabeth likes the yellow and chrome on the top one and also enjoys the racer look of the 500... yes, my girlfriend looks at sohc4 with me  ;D

of course, she also thought the gold one was a 450 and she states "they're always bigger than they look on screen"

Well given that I nominated it, I would imagine it's pretty obvious which way my vote went :D

I love that cafe style. And Fourwheeldrift's bike is surely awesome. But this month, I think my vote is going a more classic direction.

It's Resto vs. Custom, once again!!!

I voted for EDOSM last month and he didn't win. Thats one cherry ride so I would like to nominate it again. August was a tough one because they were all nice.

since it was a mistake, a minor oversight that you needed to accept the nomination... i'd bet you'll get nominated again next month.   ;)
