I didn't really document the resto, although its progress was posted here during Jan/Feb/Mar of this year. It was a total frame-off down to every single nut-and-bolt (I love completely undressing these things just for fun) but there wasn't anything repainted or plated, just a super-sano detail (everything carefully cleaned and wiped-down w/ penetrol) and selected parts upgrade using correct orig non-repop pieces only (ie: double-cut front fender, short chainguard, rolled rear rim, ducktail seat, matching 8 piece orig paint bodywork, unstamped exhaust, early switches, 2-hole rear fender and tl, plain tank trim (hard to source), smooth oil filter housing, acorn patent mirrors, etc). Luckily it had all the early-type large #8 bolts, nice gauges, a cool left-side horn, an early alternator cover, non-crimped oil lines, original "plug" key and switch, and, one of my favorites, the original and super-rare FAT exhaust clamps, only found on the first 2000 sandcasts.
