When I was changing my fork boots on my 550, I googled CB550 Fork Boots (because I was trying to see which end was up on the fork boots, so I was looking for a picture).  For some reason, this image came up, so I posted it here.

Just to clarify.  I decided it was prudent to do some checking on whether the hosting service had any rules about posted images and found that they did and that adult materials are prohibited and that their definition of 'adult' includes nudity, so I posted in this thread to ask that all fully nude images be removed.  I'm not happy about this rule either, but that's the way it is and I'm not about to let things cross the hosting services line since that will only get us cut off and cost me hours of time getting the site back online.

The offending images have been removed I appreciate your cooperation.

I honestly don't think the rules should have to be spelled out, but apparently they do.  There's always someone who can't stand not knowing exactly where the line is, and has to keep pushing and pushing and pushing until they cross it, and that's exactly what you're doing, Bobby.  That may be a noble trait in certain social, civil or political situations, but on a classic motorcycle enthusiast's forum, I think the nobility is lost.

Maybe you don't care what I think, and that's fine, but I'm certainly not trying to make an enemy of you.  I'm just stating how I view the situation. 

Like I said, I don't think the rules should even have to be written out, but you specifically requested that they be stated and "strictly enforced", and that's what is happening, but you still seem to have a problem with it.  Hopefully I'm just misinterpreting a little good-natured ribbing, though.

Gordon, you are right there is ribbing going on, but there is something deeper that has come up before. Rules do need to be spelled out and it does not matter what the venue is. The lack of clear rules leads to confusion and confusion leads to discontent and anarchy. How would you feel if you were given a parking ticket in front of your house. When you ask why they tell you they just have not gotten around to putting up the sign yet.
There were rules, and I gotta tell you they were followed and self enforced by the members. If I put up something and there was something I missed, but you saw it, it came down, no questions. There is still an open question as to how a bra strap is considered nude. What I used in the first post as the rules are the standards that are used for network television. ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC,  all use those rules.

I second what kghost is saying here. It doesn't have anything to do with being a prude. In your Boob thread.....someone pointed out that I had a problem with boobs. I assure you that nothing could be further from the truth but this just ain't the place to do it. Why can't you see that this is putting Glenn in a position that he doesn't want to be in? I view it as bunch of 10 year olds that just got a copy of Playboy for the first time. Another thing.......there are also a few woman on this site that probably see you as a bit immature........these pics you are putting up......yeah fine looking women but I'd bet the house none of you would ever have one! I am not the one who enjoys making problems, but I did figure out what is going on. Now it may not be you two, but there are prudes who bang away at the Mods. Every time we do something fun none of the Mods have a problem - for a while. Then these Holier than Thou SOBS start banging the MODS with PMs. It started when we posted some Pin Up Holiday pictures last year.

 If for one minute you think we do not have our own version of the Taliban in the US, you are mistaken. They come from the left and the right, and everyone is supposed to think and act like they do. The left calls it Political Correctness and the right calls it "a moral imperative", either way it is dead wrong to let a few tell the many what to do.

The thread we are on now clearly tells you what is in here no ambiguity. The ladies are invited to come in or not, everyone has fair warning and a choice. America is about choices, and a lot of us fought for that right and I guess are fighting as we speak.

No I was speaking in general, there are those who lack tolerance and they seek to control all we here or say. We see it all around us in the news. I have a PM from you I will not paste here since it is private. I did seek your counsel, you gave it. I am positive that you and Glenn were PMed by a few of these Yo Yos and your job is to keep things together.
Personally you can lock this thing down now as it really is not that important to me personally. It was a goof that some people took way too seriously. So let's say Amen and close the door.

I am perfectly happy to let everyone have some fun and I personally found little to object to, but I decided that it was prudent to make sure that allowing this to go on was not going to fall afoul of some host rule.  So, I checked, and found that the host for this site had a fairly clear rule and asked that the fully nude images be deleted.  They were; I'm happy; enough said.

Then I can either decide if I want to visit or not. I don't put much stock in those who

I'm reminded of a time at a bar I used to shoot a lot of 8ball at with a bunch of normal working stiffs.  One night a total babe comes in- clearly she had no idea that women that looked like her never came in there- and sits at the bar.  She sips a drink a little as the guys around the tables poke their elows into each others ribs, ppint, whisper, and generally drool on themselves.  After a while, a small dumpy guy comes over to her.  It was a little dark, so it was hard to tell if he was actually a toad wearing clothes, or just a cleaned up troglodyte.  He buys her a drink, they talk, they laugh, eventually they walk out together...

So- I'm wondering why all you good-looking young bucks have a desire to stare at 2 dimensional representations when you all could be gazing into the eyes of the real thing?  The same thing is going on at advriders.com, and I have to wonder what's up when there are a jillion sites that offer women in various states of undress already.  

Just seems like a case of arrested development to me.  With all the crap going on in Washington, I'd prefer to see someone talk about how the little man can make a difference and what politicians are really listening.
