BTW, I've gotten my Dad out to eat, during the week, out to Church and another meal out after Church, for 3weeks now.

Today was the best one though. I had told him Saturday that we'd like him to go to Church again and, with it being Easter Sunday, we'd like to have him over for a "Special Lunch". Well, he popped up and offered to take US to lunch and we accepted!

I had gotten him a dress shirt and tie to go with some pants that he already had and expected to have to remind him this morning along with helping him to dress. Wrong, when I go there this morning, to check his blood sugar and give him his insulin shot, he was already dressed and ready to go!

And, he had to tie his own tie (I never was too good at that and he'd not tied on in quite awhile, but he accomplished it and was waiting on me.

We all had a fantastic time with Church, the meal, the company and, when I took him back to his apartment, I expect that he was "napping" shortly after we left. It sure did my heart good t see that he "remembered" that I was coming to get him AND what we were going to do today. Sure makes me feel good to see him feeling so good and doing so well.
