Fiesty Float Bowl O-rings for my KeiHin 550 Carbs
« on: July 10, 2005, 11:00:21 AM »
can anyone tell me how to get these float bowl o-rings to stay seated in their grove long enough to assemble the bottom end of the carb without pinching the o-ring?

a little rubber cement, maybe?

I use a product called gascacinch.  Apply some with a toothpick to the groove and one side of the o ring.  Wait a few minutes, and put into place.  Not much repositioning is allowed.  So, when put in place, make sure its the right place.  Or, you have to start over.

I use a  little dab of petroleum jelly in the corners of the groove , works good at holding the gaskets in place.
