O-ring sizes?
« on: July 09, 2005, 04:29:02 PM »
I saw a post about the o-ring sizes that fit the cb550 carbs.  Does anyone have this info somewhere?  I posted before but nobody answered.  I need to know the size for the drain screw ass that is where my leak is from.  I just might get some action out of the bike if I can get the fuel to stay in it.  Thanks, Shawn

I was told 7/32" inside diameter and 11/32" outside diameter. That means cross section is 1/16"

Honda never gave the sizes and when i tried to get them matched  by my local hydraulic supplier he called me nasty names and said that they were all "non standard" cross section so I had to get nearest avaiable. If these are the earlier 550 carbs i can sell you a full set of those but dont complain to me if they are difficult to fit (which they ARE) probabl about $15 including airmail to US

They are the newer style.  Have the p-shaped top cover.  I have two sets.  The first set came on the bike, so someone changed them already.  Where are you at?  If they ae the style to fit my bike I might be interested.  Will be easier to rebuild.  Less parts.  Thanks for the replies.
