Well, since my Dad can't function as well any more, I'm getting his CB750A. I know that it's not the same as the OTHER CB750s but, at least, it IS a CB750. Any info on these, would be very useful. I'm embarrassed to say I didn't even think about checking the site for this. :-[ :-\
                                     Later on, Bill :) ;)

I'm hoping to restore this one, since it will be the last one that he bought. :-\

...hey bill i think the top end is the same as the 69-78 750's.  obviously the tranny is different, but it still bullet proof...rumored to have the same torque converter as the 70's honda civics.  the carbs are also unique to the matic.  theres a switch that raises the rpm's when its put in gear.  other than that i think it'll be pretty straight forward...is the bike running now...

I've owned a couple (briefly). Carbs are complicated. The fuseblock is a very common ill; it badly overheats and needs to be monitored. Theres some sorta fix on the net somewhere. Uses a huge GoldWing battery, I think.

Hey Mark,  My Dad picked it up pretty cheap about a year ago. The motor turns over with compression but he hadn't managed to get it running (don't think he really tried yet). It had a Windjammer on it and he took that off because when he turns, he expects the headlight to turn also! ;D It may just need a good cleaning (carbs) & tuning up to get it running. I hadn't really looked at it too much before. Best I recall, it's not in too bad shape. I hope to be picking it up in the next week or 2. I'll keep you all posted. I just don't have any idea about how they run or handle. Also, what about those carbs. What's the deal on that?

736cc, I'll definitely have to check that fuse block thing out.

Thanks guys, for your input. ;) I certainly appreciate it ;)

                                  Later on, Bill :) ;)

Looks like a 76 model
I have a parts book for that model, which I would copy if you want to pay the cost of shipping from Sydney.
There are several differences in things like the fenders, alloy wheels wiring, etc. The carbs are similar to a 77/78 but smaller. Brakes are the same as a K7/K8
It has a different cam which together with the smaller carbs and lower compression ratio give better midrange power, but obviously less up top.
They are interesting to ride, a bit strange but good fun
Best of luck
Clyde
PS If you want to sell it let me know?!?!?!
