Hello from Juneau, Alaska
« on: August 25, 2007, 05:17:08 PM »
Hey all.

Just bought a 1976 CB750F.  Picking it up on Wednesday or Thursday.  300 bucks.  Unknown history.

Have owned an 80 CB750F SuperSport, a 78 CB400TII Hawk, and my current ride is an '06 KLR650.  The "new" 750 will be my project bike over the next few years.

Glad to be here!

What route are you taking to get there?  Driving the entire way, or taking the ferry from Bellingham to Haines?

Welcome...

Your riding roads are a little limited there in Juneau ain't they?

Welcome Spice,

I was just up in your neck of the woods a couple of weeks ago.  You live in a beautiful area!  Post pics of the new baby ASAP!

Yup, VERY limited on Juneau...but a short ferry ride to Haines or Skagway and all of the Yukon, Northwest Territory, and Alaska are mine to explore (usually on my KLR)!

Will get some pics when I pic her up this week.

Welcome for NY. What is the usual riding season up there?

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

If you've never driven the Alcan before I suggest that route.  We've done it 4 times round trip...and it's just as amazing each time.
