Beer, Sam; beer.

And I see Kuyarico has coined a new verb: "Brimmered".  What a way to earn one's place in posterity...  ;)

Remember when we used to mail-order stuff and the fine print said things like 'allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery'?

Ahh.. the good old days..

Hey Sam,

Can't drink beer at work, but can do coke?  I guess coke doesn't leave the alcohol smell on one's breath...

I thought the British may *always* drink beer, as long as it is warm?  :D

Hey Rockin-

I sincerely hope there's no problem.  If there is, you have the right friends.  ;D

I think Kuyarico should try and copyright his new verb.  I'm betting it will become worldwide in no time.  ::)

Ha ha... I can't take credit for "Brimmered". Someone else here used it in the past. It does provide some comic relief to this situation.

The last communication that I received from Fuzzybutt said that the items were boxed and were being picked up by DHL on 8/22 and shipping would take 3 days.

It's been more than 3 days since, and more than a month since I paid him via paypal.

If Fuzzybutt doesn't log in and explain himself soon, I will start posting the information that I have found on him. Last warning Fuzzy.

"Brimmered" is the one here, it's called "Indyed" on the gun forum I frequent.  Scum by any other name is still scum!

"Fuzzybutt" sounds like a name his woman may have given him.  Mine's called me worse.  ;D

Amen to that.  DHL is the worst IMO.  It took them over a month to get me a part one time.  It was all them, not the seller.

Carrier reliability notwithstanding, tracking numbers for Rocking-M and kuyarico would not be an unreasonable request.

Hmmm - Fuzzy was here for one month, 92 posts - 2.5/day.  Was supposed to have RMs package in the mail Aug 13, similar to  yours Kayarico. Last post Aug 19, last here Aug 25. Something is starting to smell bad.  >:(
Maybe you guys could PM with Seaweb - he's experienced and knows how to get results :)

I think it was Firecracker that was instrumental in finding all the crap on Brimmer, (may be wrong) but I think the time has come to unleash the wrath of the bounty hunters on this guy. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

I suppose it's time to find out how paypal responds to a claim eh?

I made a claim with Paypal. This will also tell me how good Paypal is at backing
me up on this one. I wish I'd used a US Postal Money order now. A visit from
a US Postal Inspector with his side arm would get a response for sure.

If FB lives in the US, can't you just get his number and phone him? Anyone checked the obituaries column?

I dropped a fender and a couple of rims off my CB350F resto project in to the local chrome plater 10 years ago, he was a nice guy, a Vietnam vet who ran the business on his own, anyway, he told me to come back in a couple of days and I did, but the shop was closed?

Hmmnnnn, I went back the next day, but it was still closed. "Uh-oh", I thought, "this guys flown the coop"!  The following week I went back and there was a little asian woman there on her own cleaning up, I asked her where John was, and she told me he'd had a heart attack and dropped dead the day after I dropped my stuff off?

Anyway, we fished the fender and rims out of the "dechroming bath" (and she still charged me 50 bucks for that phase of the plating service) and I took it to another plater who finished the job that John started before his untimely demise.

I hope FB hasn't suffered a similar fate, but then again, if he hasn't, and RM gets a hold of him, he'll probably wish he had, ha ha! Cheers, Terry. :D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Thanks for the reminder Terry, I hope nothing has happened to FB yet.  ;D ;D

Yea, Medic they do that. I've a friend who is a postal carrier and he said those
inspectors are some strange dudes. They yearn for something actually to go
investigate and fill their time with following mail carriers around harassing them for
poor driving, leaving the mail unattended, etc.... but when they get a real complaint
like a money order sent that hasn't been answered, boy are they gungho.

Nothing in the obits (as morbid as that thought may be).

As of Monday evening, fuzzybutt appears to be alive and well as he was active on eBay posting feedback for his most recent transactions.

Incidentally, his last eBay purchase was also on the 19th (same day as his last post on this forum).  It's entirely possible that he's been ridiculously busy this past week such that he hasn't had the opportunity to ship your stuff, but that's no excuse to go AWOL especially when it's evident he's been on the internet as of late.  If he's got time to post feedback, he ought to have time to check--and reply to--his email.

Rocking-M: based on some research kuyarico and I did, we found an address and two phone numbers based on the name associated with the PayPal account he gave.  A quick <first initial last name in Columbia, SC> search will pull up that info.  Maybe kuyarico already PM'd that to you?

Anybody in the Forest Acres area of Columbia care to do some...reconnoitering?  ;)

Unfortunately I will be out of the country for the next 10 days, so I will not be able to follow up on this matter. Rocking, I will PM you the info that I have so far on Fuzzy. Firecracker will probably be able to find much more. ;)
