BrianJ - Portland, OR - 1973 CB500

I finally got my CB! After concidering more than a few sub $1K bikes I decided to step up a notch or 7.  I just picked up this 1973 CB500 this morning and havn't been able to get off it yet.  As such I've already noticed my share of little things that I will be searching, posting and complaining about. But don't get me wrong I LOVE THIS BIKE.  I already have a good list of parts to get me on the way to a cafe project but let me know if you think I'm missing something essential.

Real Soon:
short rear shocks - read alot of posts and looked at alot of pics... the pics won
clip on bars - the look is unbeatable
homemade cafe seat? (stock pan) - if anyone can advise other than what's posted lmk
new tires - cant decide vintage or modern, read the threads, like the look of both

Already has:
4-2 exhaust - Sounds excellent, guy said it was yosh but I've never seen that for CB's
pod air filters - seems like these are bad but they were already there
stock jetting - seems ok unless I go from idle to wot at like 3k rpm but carbs leak
rear fender gone/custom light - that stock taillight was U G L Y
