Even with shipping (USD$31), they're way less expensive than the Raask rear sets and those look a heck of a lot nicer.

Heck, I don't even find the postage so bad--it seems reasonable compared to what some sellers on eBay are asking these days. Those clowns want to get rich by inflating shipping charges!

Wow,

They look SWEET!

I may just have to order a set.

If you do purchase them, please update this post with your feedback on them and your install.  It would help me and others greatly I'm sure.

Good Luck!

Ben

Which set seems best for CB750's? Universal brackets mean they won't fit w/o modification; specific ready-to-bolt-on brackets is what we all yearn for.

Yes I read that post. But he is talking about a 350 not a 750. They are similar I'm sure  ???,but as the saying goes one size does not fit all. And the search button is not always a direct route to an answer. I know I use it quite often and have read a lot of topic's that did very little to answer a given question.

I thought thst I had posted this mornign on this, but my post is not here... Hmmmmm...

Oh well.

Yes, shipping is steep, but I went ahead and bid on one of the sets anyway.
NEW REARSETS for Japanese British Italian Bikes Alloy

It shows the mounting points to be 110mm center to center. My crude measurements with a meter stick show the two engine mount bolts on my 750 F1 to be around 110-115 center to center. Should be a fairly easy mod if one is needed at all. I'll let you all know how it turns out.

Very anxious to hear how this goes.  I'm tempted to bid on the others that are "superbike" w/ 85mm spacing.  I don't really want to weld a bracket onto my frame.  My welds aren't the prettiest and isn't there some issues w/ welding on a frame (having to heat treat them to alieviate brittleness?) I've been looking for burly mounting brackets but this is the best I've found...

I'm not sure I'd trust a clamp like that for the rearset mounts.   What do you guys think?  any other sources for some really heavy duty clamps that would fit on our frames?

Thanks, I seemed to remember reading about some brackets in another thread.  $6.99 is a pretty good price too!  I might just get some of these and try it out.  It seems those rearsets only come w/ one linkage rod :(  not to hard to make one but it would be cool if it matched the other.  I wonder if he would sell just one linkage rod.  Only one way to find out! :)

Well, Auction won. Item paid for. now I'll just have to wait 10-15 days to get it shipped from Austria.

Around $90 US isn't too bad for them, I figure.

I'll keep you posted.

Okay, so with a measurement from a much more accurate devise, it looks like the mounting bolts are 113mm center to center.

That's okay... I still have plans...

You can get more from McMaster - pretty reasonable prices for hardware.

My dilemma is I have most of what I need, but not for my application 72CB750 chrome Tracy
http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=17831.0

I bought these and thought I was close. They are like new ;D ...but the linkages/conectors are all wrong and the frame brackets are for a kawi I think. "big black l shaped things". I could supply photos.

A new set is only $295.00 or so, but the mfg. makes it ridiculously expensive to just buy parts.

I hate having cool sh*t that won't fit :P

Any one have any trade/parts sale ideas?  "Instead of me just paying $295.00 to Omar's.......

I bought some universal Tarrozis from Jim Hinshaw on Ebay, the linkages I cobbled together from bits I found/bought/modified.  The one problem no one seems to mention is the loss of leverage on the rear brake, the original brake lever was nearly a foot long, compared to the six inches or so of leverage you get from using rearset levers.  I took the huge return spring out of the brake but it still needs a good bit of pressure to really bite on the disk.  I need to make the brake linkage out of solid bar as there is still a fair bit of flex in it using 8mm threaded bar.

What are those ones off Derek? Are they the one's you got from RM? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Sure you could do something with them?  Its the shifter and brake lever ends that are different?  I cut the old levers off the spline fittings,  and braized a piece of steel onto the end with a hole for the linkage on the end.
