Pics of my new (to me) '76 CB750K
« on: August 29, 2007, 09:43:43 PM »
Greetings all...picked up the '76 CB750K tonight.  My 4-1/2 year old son already named it "Rusty"...and it is, although certainly nothing that can't be taken care of.

Here's the pic of it after I rolled it into the garage...

And here's a picture about 30 minutes later...

Already have a few questions for you.
#1 - It has an oil cooler, looks to be after market.  Is that on there because of the big-azz fairing that was there?  Can I get rid of it?  It appears to be plumbed in at the oil filter...

#2 - Where/how do the rear turn signals mount up?  Can someone provide a picture so I have a guide?  Mine were f'd up because of the hard-panniers.

Thanks in advance.  Looking to start turning some wrenches!!!

The rear signals  bolt onto the rear grab bar, which I dont even see on yours. Here are some pictures I have of the rear turn signals.

Nice choice of color by the way.

The rear signal are/were mounted on the sissy bar.  My bike has the same exact sissy bar only I have a rear pad that is on mine.  If I take off my sissy bar I lose the mounting points for the signals.  You will have to find a new grab bar to mount the oem lights.

Good looking project Spicy. Did you notice that the oil spill on the floor looks remarkably like a dogs tail?  :)

Thanks everyone.

Yeah I saw that darn oil stain.  Not sure where it came from though!   ;D

Looks like I'll have to find somewhere else to mount the turn signals.

Thanks for the info and pics!

Spice -

I think there are a couple of grab bars on Ebay right now - one I think even has complete signals mounted up.  Do a search for CB750 and they should come up.

Keep the pics coming!
