New bike tomorrow!
« on: August 29, 2007, 07:47:42 PM »
Wow, I'm so damn giddy. I probably won't be able to sleep tonight.

No, it's not a SOHC/4, or even a Honda, but now I'll have something to ride while the 750K6 gets the work it deserves.

It's a 1998 Triumph Speed Triple, new paint, cables, hoses, radiator, tires, seat, grips, everything.

I leave Monday afternoon for a 3,000+ mile trip up to Michigan and back. I can't wait.

Sheesh, I can't wait. 5 1/2 hours to go. I've been wanting to do a cross country ride for over two years now, and I leave on Monday. I'm giddy. And I'm not the type of person who gets giddy.

Nice bikes but the headlights look goofy to me! Maybe if they were not chrome! ;)

WOW. This is the first modern bike I've owned/ridden. Amazing. Twist the throttle, it makes a whirring noise, and you're doing the ton. Scary.

Exactly!! My first modern bike as well. Twist the throttle with a little exuberance and watch the front wheel come up!  :o

And you can hit the ton easily in 3rd!!

Enjoy the bike! Be safe out there! ;D
