Static timing with dyna on a 750 made easier!
« on: August 28, 2007, 01:19:27 PM »
...at least I think.  Since I have to somehow hold open the advancer to do this I think I may have a stroke of luck because my old advancer was stuck in the open position and I scored a good one off of ebay.  Use my old one to time the bike then put the new one on?  Does this seem possible?  I haven't been able to get into the garage to try it.

I would almost say you would be better off useing a timing light wth the motor running. At least thats how I do it.

I was afraid you'd say that.  I never grasped the concept but I guess I'll pick up a gun and figure it out.  Thanks.

Have no fear of the blinkin light!

Timing with a strobe is super easy.

Try it you'll like it!
