Touch-up paint for emblems

Has anyone had any success touching up plastic emblems? Would model paint stand up? I know it adheres to plastic.

As long as you clean and scuff the surfaces to be painted, model paint will hold up as well if not better than the original crap. The factory actually painted over chrome plating and that will always flake off eventually.

Yes it can be done and look very good. Model paint works well.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

I'm a scale modeller and use model paint and my airbrush on all sorts of parts on my bike, just resprayed my headlamp shell and clocks using Humbrol H21 gloss black. Used the same for years to touch up the standard Honda black on the frame. Just go for the gloss enamals.

Cheers
