Well I finally got a new ignition setup for my bike. I was having trouble with points pitting rapidly and even when new wouldn't pull hard past 5000-6000, revved slow after there, if at all. Never had this sort of problem with all the single adn dual point setups I've worked with on cars. I'm sure the points worked well when the system was new.
Anyhow, I got a Dyna-S and Dyna 3 ohm coils as well as new wires. Biek runs excellent now! Starts first kick every time and winds out nice and good to 9000. I can now keep up with my buddy's 11000 shadow in a straight line (not so much at high speeds but I don't like that 100+ MPH stuff anyhow, makes me uncomfortable). In the twisties I blow him away, scraping pegs and screaming along at 6000+ while he's way back looking sloppy in the turns on that awful handling bike of his.
I do have a couple carb issues but that only really at WOT or close to it. I'll bring that up in a different thread.
Anyhow, I'm thrilled. Well worth the money spent. Been riding in to work almost every day now.
