76 750K head bolts
« on: July 11, 2005, 07:51:36 PM »
I'm new to this site and this is my first post.I'm just starting to see if it's feasible to bring this old thing back to life.Pulled the motor,(siezed, tryed all the tips after a search).
Got the cam out, and now I need to pull the head. How do I get the center bolts(12mm) out? No room for a socket, and no room for a wrench unless I remove the valve springs first. And when the time comes how do I torque the bolts back when its time for re-assembly,if a socket can't be used? I'm using a old Clymers manual for a K2,but it doesn't say. I must be overlooking the obvious, but I had to ask. Thanks in advance for any & all info, it is much appeciated.

Hmmm......

A 1/4 drive socket fits for me.

Are you trying a 3/8 drive?

Sorry about that, reading all I can on this site and all the others out there I guess I got you confused with some one else.
You are right as rain,35 is just the prime of life, hell I don't know that I can remember being 35. But I think I got a helmet that old!
