Grease gun I haven't tried. Please explain the procedure. How do you attach it or am I just missing something here?
If your lucky you can unscrew the connector on grease gun and screw it directly into caliper where the hard line fitted. leave bleed screw tight. If that wont shift it probably nothing will ( dont use the push type though, they dont build enough pressure)

If a grease gun and Air compressor fail try a Air Grease Gun... Just make sure you have something to catch it. I did mine outside took me 30 minutes to dig it out of the neighbors bushes.

It Worked out better that I had planned. I used it as an excuse to buy a compressor(+attachments of course), in the mean time I gave it to a  friend(who is an engineer, and had access to the right size zirk fittng @ work)
and he retuned it unsiezed....win..win...  thanks again for all the idears...

I got a laugh out of it as well. This and other posts made me think of a new contest, who can launch a caliper piston the farthest? Entrants can compete in two categories, distance and altitude.  ;D
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Thanks guys for the grease gun trick. Thats about the only one I hadn't tried. It worked great and was very easy. However the spare piston I extricated is a really nice paper weight.
Procedural FYI :
Insert the caliper bolt into the brake fluid line hole hand tight - same size - The threads on my grease gun would not work
The grease gun fits snuggly over the bleed valve. Loosen the bleed valve slightly as if bleeding and pump away. My hand held  gun took two cartridges so have a couple on hand.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

I just used the grease gun method on two calipers.  Awesome!  The extension rod that came with the gun is the perfect size to screw right into the main thread.  Close the bleeder, pump a dozen times, and they both popped right out.  If I may suggest making this thread sticky?
