A storage unit might be just the ticket. Now, I'm really gonna have to get me a trailer hitch for my minivan (it's got those stow-away seats and requires a special hitch to fit around things). The storage unit idea is a good one though. ;D ;)

Heh just a run down for everyone else as to whats gonna happen to the interceptors once i get back up and running fully once more...the red Interceptor will eventually get a complete redo to road racing specs...im probably going to pull the motor from the yellow bike and use that as my core for the road racing motor   ;D ;D  Found out theres some road racing cams built for it out of better materials...so that combined with one of the many oil mods avalable for the V4 engine will kick that cam problem to the curb. That was the only real weak point to the early V4s...otherwise a builetproof engine. and the bonus is the donor motor already has an oil mod done to it..gonna have to check to make sure it was done correctly though..but it appears to be the same mod as Honda used on the race bikes. theres even mention of a boss being on the underside of the engine for said mod from the factory. So perhaps some new braided lines are in order there..rebuild the carbs with a stage 1 jet kit..overbore the cyls if i can parts for doing so. keep watching ebay for ultra rare racing exhausts...decide if im using stage 1 or stage 2 road racing cams and do the appropiate mods to the rockers and valve springs. Basicly im tapping deep inside the motor and unleashing the AMA Superbike engine hidden inside my street motor lol Also installing newer CBR wheels to help the bike shave some weight as well as take advantage of modern radial tires. Braided lines on the brakes front and rear..new rotors and pads...with enough time and patience i will get it damn close to race weight and equal if not greater then race HP. new gears should help the old warrior take advantage of its new heart...and make some crotch rocket riders look over their shoulders in fear.

Theres also the slim chance there may be another two stroke coming to join the stable...this one being a Honda and baring the letters CR.....

In 1969, the Mach III (500) was the fastest production vehichle you buy. It would do 12.7 and 110 out of the crate with 1 mile on it - a couple of different magazines tried it. It is also listed as a superbike in a number of 1970's magazine articles.

In 1973, the H2 Mach IV (750) won the Superbike contest - hands down. It won the drags, it won the road track, it won the braking. It's closest competitor was it's big brother, the might Z1. It's a great read to look over that 1973 Superbike article. They described riding the H2 down the quarter as a series of violent motions of up and down the entire track. The lottery in the office was done to see who did not have to ride it. There are stories of high 11's for the early H2's and 115 mph through the quarter for those who learned the art of launching the H2 off the line.

I collect the magazines and books as well as the bikes -

Regards,
Gordon

Do you have anything on the Suzi 82GS1100GL ? It's my dad's and someday will be mine and have always wondered what it would supposedly do.

Go to Ebay and look for Motolit. I bought several ads and articles from them over the years - probably 100 or more. There is always someone that has acess to old mags who will sell you a copy of the article you want - usually full ads gor for $7 and the articles go for $10.

Best of luck.

Gordon

Well now..it appears the owner of the XS sold it out from under me i had not been able to pay for it thanx to my job changes....meh whatever...I have been researching something here for the past couple days...namely something else Kawasaki...in the form of an 81 Kawasaki GPz 550. This one has had a rough life but finally it seems i have found a lil hopped up special of my own..this one has a Supertrapp 4 into 1 header and muffler set up with a tunable muffler...So after the Interceptor is all tuned up and ready to rock and roll...the GPz will be next for upgrades...The Interceptor is headed to Max Motorsports to get its fork seals done along with an oil change and new rear tire as well as some aftermarket signal lights...then probably going back in the winter to get a carb sync as well as rejetting the carbs combined with a K&N airfilter and modified cans..But the GPz will be seeing some work before the VF gets the carb work...mostly just rewiring and getting it running along with some new signal lights as well...either way i wind up with two very capable bikes. Then i can focus on the GS1100G and the Mach IV. Also along the way the Interceptor will lose its red paint and trade it for satin black....as in yea..im going stealth...the GS will be getting the stealth paint scheme as well...the Mach IV will be the OD Green...and the GPz will stay its stock kawi colors...
