Barbers Vintage Festival - Alabama, Oct 19-21st Anyone?
« on: September 08, 2007, 02:23:40 am »
Barbers is hosting it's 3rd annual Vintage Festival on the 19~21 of October. I am going as are many of our VJMC members from around the US. Are any of you going and if so, will you be participating in the VJMC events?

They are offering free admission ($70 value) for those early registrations into the show.

I'll be taking two 750's down with me - an H2 and the CB.

Regards,
Gordon

Gordon,

I'm working as a volunteer in the Museum on Sat PM, and will be around all weekend.  Call me 205-243-4354 so we can be sure to connect.

I'll be there for sure too.  I only live about 5 minutes away and will be looking for an older CB 500, 550 or 750 to go with my CB650.  You guys give me a call so we can meet up at the event.  Or call me earlier if you live near by and we can meet up and go for a ride.  I have been looking for some local folks that have SOHC bikes.  My number is 205-613-1981.

I'm the guy in front with his knee on the ground, behind me is my buddy Rob on his CB 400.  I'm trying to convince him to do a top end rebuild and come racing.

I'll be riding over on my 750K7

Why doesn't everyone post their contact information somewhere like here and we can all set-up a get-together.  Mine and John's are already in the thread.

I say we get together on either Friday or Saturday night for beers and/or food.  Heck...  If you guys want we can all get together at my house and grill out some burgers and have some beers.  I'm only about 5 minutes from the track.  Let me know what everyone wants to do and I can help make arrangements.

If not Mark's house, mine's available, also 5 minutes away.  I've got to spend 4 hours working in the museum on Sat some time, but available for pit crew duties otherwise.

I am headed from Birmingham to Dallas the weekend before Barbers Vintage (traveling on the 14th) and considering riding my 750.  If I do ride to Dallas, then I will be riding back to Birmingham starting sometime on the 18th. Anyone heading to Barbers from Texas on the 18th?

If anyone is heading this way, let me know and IF I end up riding the bike to TX that week maybe we could ride back together.

Morning John...
Got the K7 tuned and ALMOST ready last night...
Carb needle fit fine and the one from service Honda showed up yesterday evening.
I'll bring you that one back for you.
Just finish polishing the tank and she should be ready to roll...Nothing like a 3 hour shake down ride!!!<G>
Gonna be a chilly one too! Predictions are for 40s tomorrow morning.

Saw John working at the museum yesterday.  The weather turned out great.  This is a very well run event.  Barber is on my goto list; MidOhio is off.  At least 1/3 of the exhibits have changed in the museum since I was here in May.

Raul, I got about a dozen pictures of the Sanglas.  The e-mail at my motel won't work so you won't get them before Monday.
